Thank God the week is here

So I usually don't look forward to the weekend being over but after the looooong weekend I took exception. We had a busy time with family and friends over, lots of cooking, swimming and sun. It's amazing how much the sun can drain you and after two full days in it I was ready to sit in my air conditioned office. The boys had a great time with their cousins and friends, they all pretty much stayed wet for a full 48 hours.

On Monday just our family of 4 hung out and went swimming and lazed around the house. Nash got brave and took off his lifejacket to work on his dive. I coaxed him into swimming to me from the ladder and he was pretty concerned the first couple of times. Then all of a sudden he realized he could swim and he was telling me to "scoot out further". I was so excited and proud that he was doing it on his own! He's the kind of kid that needs some warming up and then you can't stop him!

Now for the one that needs no warming up! When Cage is in the pool Clay or I are holding him. It's a struggle the whole time because he wants us to let go of him! We tried putting him in a floater for babies but he crawls out- he doesn't like being stationary. So we're really going to have to watch him. He has a baby pool with a slide in it that he loves and he dives right over it. It's fun to watch him be so fearless but know I probably need to start an emergency room fund with his name on it! Cage has added a couple other words to his vocabulary...tree, bird, pla (plane), papa and shoe. He's also almost mastered his forward roll.
